Out & About: Trainspotting and skateboarding at Scottish-Danish art exchange – The Copenhagen Post

An old bodega in Frederiksberg was the setting on Sunday for a meeting of Copenhagen and Edinburgh artists, the first event of an art exchange between the cities that will culminate in the City Link Festival in the Scottish capital from September 24-27.


The open house event included a number of presentations – by Morvern Cunningham, Jamie Johnson, Suada Demirovic and Sarah Driver – on subjects that included art in skateboarding and art in Leith, the Edinburgh district made famous by ‘Trainspotting’.


The theme of the exchange – which aims to nurture a network of artists, activists, cultural entrepreneurs and researchers in the cities – is ‘Democratic Renewal’.
