12-Year-Old Boy Went Skateboarding On Sunday Afternoon But Never Returned

Detectives are looking for a boy who told his grandma that he was going skateboarding in the park on Sunday—and never returned.

Kenny Kim, 12, was last seen leaving his house in the 400 block of South Wilton Place in Koreatown around 1:30 p.m. Sunday, according to CBS Los Angeles. Kim said he was planning to go skateboarding at Lafayette Park, which is in Westlake.

“His family is extremely concerned for his welfare,” the Los Angeles Police Department said in a statement.

He has black hair, brown eyes, stands about 5 feet 6 inches and weighs about 100 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white shirt with a red logo, black pants with a red stripe and white/blue Nike shoes.

Update, 2 p.m.: Kim has been found and is in good health, a release from the LAPD reports. He has been returned to his family.
